Virtual Piano Description

As you may find out just by reading its name, Virtual Piano is a simple Windows application designed to help you play a piano using only your keyboard.
While the interface obviously shows the piano keys and lets you use the keyboard to practice your skills, there are multiple buttons in the main window that come with absolutely no description.
Pressing them launches some predefined sounds, obviously supposed to provide an audio background for your song, but there's no information or balloon notifications to tell you what they're doing.
As a result, during our test we had to press each of them to figure out their purpose, despite the fact that the whole interface of a virtual piano is supposed to be very intuitive.
Of course, you can use the keyboard to play the piano and pressing the question mark symbol opens the help manual, which in its turn shows the keyboard configuration for the piano.
There are multiple predefined songs to help you practice, while the overall quality of the sound can be adjusted from the “View” menu in the main window.
Obviously, Virtual Piano is far from being a resource hog and it all works like a breeze, without slowing down the system or anything. It can start on any Windows version out there, of course without the need for administrator privileges.
All things considered, Virtual Piano is an interesting piece of software, but it needs major improvements in the interface department. A more intuitive and easy to read look is a must have for this kind of application.
