Virtual Volume Creator Description
Virtual Volume Creator is a simple-to-use tool that help you create virtual volumes with files and folders. Although it may sound complicated to work with, it actually sports only intuitive options that even casual users can quickly figure out.
Setting up this program is a fast and easy task that shouldn't give you any trouble. It adopts a user-friendly interface made from a single window, where you can add as many files and folders as you want.
Create virtual containers with files and folders
In order to create the virtual container, all you have to do is specify the output directory and file name. It receives the .vv format. From this point on, you can move the new virtual container anywhere on the disk or store it on a removable storage unit, and open it on any computer to view and extract contents using Virtual Volume Creator only.
Furthermore, you can remove any item if you change your mind, or add new ones to update information. Undoing your actions is possible. Apart from the fact that keyboard shortcuts are supported, there are no other notable options available here.
Evaluation results and observations
It didn't put a strain on the overall performance of the computer in our tests, thanks to the fact that it needed a low amount of CPU and RAM to work properly. No error dialogs popped up and it didn't crash. It takes a while to create virtual containers, though, during which it temporarily hangs.
However, the software application doesn't have a security feature, such as password-protecting the container files. This means that anyone with access to Virtual Volume Creator will be able to easily access them.
Conclusion
All in all, Virtual Volume Creator offers a simple solution for creating virtual volumes for files and folders, but it doesn't have more advanced settings.
