Visual Modeler for UML Description
Visual Modeler for UML is a software application built specifically for helping you design UML diagrams that are used in the software engineering field. It comes packed with different templates for the following diagram types: class, package, use case, state, sequence, and activity.
The user interface may seem a bit crowded at a first glance, but this is only because there are a lot of configuration settings included. You can create multiple projects by specifying the name, type, title, author, organization and description. Thanks to its multi-tabbed support, it is possible to work with multiple projects in the same time.
Creating a new diagram can be done by selecting the type and inserting various shapes and text messages. It is possible to insert lines, quadratic curve and cubic edges, rectangles, ellipses, circles, polygons, triangles, and other figures as well. The embedded text can be customized in terms of font style, size, number and alignment.
What’s more, you can upload a local image file (JPG, BMP, GIF or PNG) and change the layout of the inserted shapes by picking the pen color, line style, rotation angles and others. It is possible to print the generated diagrams or export them to PDF, SVG, EPS, JPEG, PNG or TIFF.
During our testing we have noticed that the program offers very good image quality, and no errors showed up throughout the entire process.
All things considered, Visual Modeler for UML bundles many useful features for helping users create different types of UML diagrams. In order to make the most out of every single-built parameter, you should consult the help menu.
