Volume Balancer Description

Just because there’s a pair of speakers connected to a sound output device, doesn’t mean quality reaching your ears is maximum. Audio files depend on many parameters, including encoders, and even volume balance. To quickly adjust this, Volume Balancer lets you process multiple files at a time to normalize sound according to different presets.

Adjust volume for WAV files

It takes little time and effort to get the application up and running, and so is the process of getting familiar with all it has to offer. Although pretty simple in terms of design, the main window puts all functions at your disposal, so you don’t depend on multiple windows. All files you add are stored in a table, with info for old, and new name, as well as source, and result loudness.
The application is only capable of processing WAV files, and you can either add one, or more by simply dropping them over the main window, or using the built-in browse dialog. However, it’s best to add at least two file,s because one of them needs to be a reference level.

Save multiple, custom presets

You set it either for the greatest dynamic range, smallest dynamic range, the highlighted file, or one of the built-in presets, which you can later on fill up with more custom profiles. In order to add one, you first need to prepare files, and later on simply hit the save button.
It takes only a little while for files to get processed. When done, source, and result balance levels are neatly shown by percentage, and accompanying slider for neat visualization. New files can either be saved in the source directory, without replacing the old ones, or to a custom location.

On an ending note

Taking everything into consideration, we can say that Volume Balancer is a lightweight tool with which to process volume levels for multiple WAV files at a time. Presets aren’t abundant, but you can easily create more, with the process taking a little while. The only thing missing here is a preview option.
