Wav2Midi

Wav2Midi is a command-line utility designed for creating a 16-channel Midi file from a WAV audio track. It can be effortlessly handled by all types of users.
Although audio conversion tools that come with an intuitive graphical interface are generally more popular in the current market, some users prefer to work with an app like Wav2Midi, since a few command lines help them carry out a task in no time.
What's worth mentioning about command-line utilities is that they do not work with Windows Registry entries, and do not leave behind files on the hard drive after removing them, since no installation is required.
After launching a command-line window, you have to specify the source and output file name and format, in order to proceed with the conversion procedure.
Keep in mind that the sound file you want to process must be placed in the same directory as Wav2Midi. Unfortunately, you cannot establish a different target folder for the output MIDs. Furthermore, it is not possible to work with multiple items in a single session (i.e. batch processing).
Wav2Midi takes a reasonable amount of time to convert an audio track, while using a very low quantity of CPU and system memory. It doesn't hog the computer's resources and delivers sound files with a fair sound quality (depending on the quality of the WAVs).
No error dialogs have been shown in our tests and the tool did not hang or crash. All in all, Wav2Midi supplies users with a simple solution when it comes to WAV-to-MIDI conversions.
