Wavefile Length Adjust Description

As the name might apply, the Wavefile Length Adjust application was designed for adjusting the length of a wave file. This is done by removing or dublicating audio samples evenly distributed over the entire length of the wavefile.
This will have the side effect of raising or lowering the pitch (frequency) of the sound. But if the adjustment is small, it is not noticeable.
So the main usage of this program is to adjust an audio sample when the sample rate is a little bit off. Lets say that you grab a video sequence of your favorite homevideo with your video grapper. The frame rate was ok at 25.000 fps (PAL) but the audio was sampled at 44095 samples/sec instead of the intended rate of 44100 sample/sec.
This gives you two choices either raise the video rate to:
25 * (44100/44095) = 25.002834 fps
and set audio rate to 44100 samples/sec or keep video rate and resample the audio to 44100 samples/sec (make it longer).
If the video is to be played back on a PC it is ok (and fast) to change the video playback framerate, but if you are going to make a VCD or SVCD, changing the framerate is not an option. It is here that WLA gives you a fast way to correct the problem:
WLA input.wav output.wav -r 44100 44095
input.wav: Windows stereo PCM wavefile with 44095 sample/sec
output.wav: New wavefile extended to 44100 sample/sec
now you have audio which will be in A/V sync with the video.
