Let's face it, most of us rely on our mobile devices for accurately getting our weather information for the day and even for the days to come. However, that is not to say that weather-related apps for our computers are redundant.
With a name that makes it purpose crystal-clear, WeatherBuddy is a simplistic Windows application that brings you the minimum amount of weather-related information directly on your computer's desktop.

Overly simplified weather app that doesn't require any kind of configuration

Getting started with the application is quite straightforward since it undergoes a typical installation process and does not require any type of configuration on your part.
It also not difficult to live with, since it smoothly integrates with your computer's taskbar, from where its UI can be summoned quite conveniently.

Brings the bare minimum of weather info to your computer's desktop

As mentioned before, the application works straight out of the box. It automatically picks up your location and displays provides you with accurate weather-related information accordingly.
For example, it displays the current temperature, the air pressure values, as well as the humidity, fog, and cloudiness percentage values. On the lower part of its compact UI, it also provides you with a somewhat vague 5-day temperature forecast.

Simple and unpretentious weather app

All in all, WeatherBuddy is a hum-drum weather application. It's not exactly comprehensive (it has limited forecast abilities, and it does not offer other valuable info like the chance of rain, wind factor, and direction, real temperature feel, the visibility or UV index), but at least it does not feature annoying pop-up notifications or other notification-related elements.
That said, if you are looking for a quick way to get the current temperature in your area then this app is not a bad way to go, just as long as you don't set your expectations too high, that is.
