WEBComp

WEBComp is a small, simple and easy-to-use tool that can detect changes in WEB pages. It checks complete content of page and compares it with old content to detect differences. What you need to do is to enter URLs and page descriptions and select one or more pages to check.
Here are some key features of "WEBComp":
ï¿­ check changes in a page content, get size of a page and retrieve page
ï¿­ header information from WEB server.
ï¿­ generate HTML file with report and links to checked pages and automatically
ï¿­ open that file in your default browser. Also, it is possible to generate file
ï¿­ manually by selecting pages and clicking "Open browser" button.
ï¿­ save changed pages to disk automatically during check. Filenames will be
ï¿­ created from page descriptions. Files are saved in a directory where
ï¿­ WEBComp.EXE is.
ï¿­ has auto-check feature that can start checking proces automatically when
ï¿­ you are connected to internet.
ï¿­ you can exclude pages from auto-check if you want.
ï¿­ checked pages are represented in a different colors so you can easily see
ï¿­ result on screen or in browser.
ï¿­ you can set page status from CHANGED/CHECKED to UNCHANGED/UNCHECKED/NEW if you want (by Reset to NEW button in Modify existing URL window).
ï¿­ when it is started, program automatically goes to tray so you can hide its
ï¿­ window if you want and use tray icon only. Also, it is possible to have main
ï¿­ window hidden upon start (suitable if you want to run WEBComp along with
ï¿­ Windows or tu use its auto-check feature). Note that tray icon is animated
ï¿­ when checking is in progress ...
ï¿­ you can setup different options and some of them can be changed temporarily
ï¿­ before checking (you can change them temporarily for every session by
ï¿­ selecting/deselecting then on a pre-check window).
