WebEdit Description
WebEdit is a lightweight Windows application whose purpose is to help you create and generate HTML code scripts.
Clean feature lineup
You are welcomed by a well-organized set of functions that allows you to quickly access the files stored in your computer, library section that provides useful code data, special characters, Javascript data, as well as your projects.
It offers support for a built-in Internet Explorer preview mode, so you don’t need to open the web browser to check how the HTML code looks like. Plus, you may print data and view it in a full screen mode.
Main features
WebEdit gives you the possibility to import information from HTML, TXT, ASP, PHP, CSS, JAVA, C, VBP, or other files, choose between various templates, and customize the text in terms of font, font style, size, color, and alignment.
What’s more, you can perform basic editing operations (cut, copy, paste, delete, clear the clipboard), undo or redo you actions, find and replace words or characters, insert pictures, embed marquee tags (HTML elements which make the text to scroll up, down, left, or right automatically), as well as add tables, breaks, scripts, and horizontal lines.
The tool enables you to insert date and time stamps, text and password boxes, radio and push buttons, multimedia files (audio and video files, Java applets), comments, bookmarks, and strikes, record macros for automating your writing, as well as use the spell checking function.
When it comes to exporting options, you can save the generated code to HTML, PHP, ASP, TXT, DAT, CSS, or RTF file format. Plus, you can send emails.
Bottom line
To sum it up, WebEdit includes a handy suite of tools for helping you write code but it still needs some improvements in the GUI area to make the entire process more intuitive.
