Created in C#, Whats Changed? is a small-sized tool that can be implemented into software projects by developers who want to give end users the possibility of verifying and analyzing modifications occurred between any two plain text documents or HTML webpages.
There are two versions available, one thats wrapped in a setup kit and another which doesnt require installation. The main difference between the two is that the portable edition can be saved to pen drives or other external storage devices to effortlessly launch the program on any computer.
It depends on .NET Framework, which means that end users must have this software framework installed to be able to work with Whats Changed?. The downloaded package includes separate DLL and XML files, which are compatible with .NET Framework 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, 4.5.1, 4.5.2 and 4.6.
The graphical interface of the tool adopts a standard .NET Framework form and has a neatly structured layout, focusing on functionality. The full paths of any two files can be indicated using the file browser, after which its possible to view each line of text as well as the exact words or phrases that were modified.
