Visual design and portability perks

One of the application’s main advantages is that you don’t have to go through the hustle of dealing with an installer, because the application runs just fine after downloading it. This means you can use it directly from a USB flash drive on other computers as well, especially since registries are not a dependency of functionality.
The main window is pretty compact, but manages to hold all features you get to work with. Split into two different panes, these represent the input field for the text you want to clean, while the other generates the result, letting you copy it to clipboard. Operations you can use only require a mouse click for selection, with no other parameters to configure.

Multiple text cleaning operations

Unfortunately, WhiteSpace doesn’t support any kind of file, meaning you need to keep an editor nearby from which to copy the text, and an empty one to save it to, because export options aren’t implemented either. In any case, using the copy paste operation isn’t much of a hassle for anyone.
There’s no preview of the text before it gets processed, but nor does there need to be one, because you can always choose different options and process the text again. You’re able to have all white spaces removed, all punctuation, numbers, tabs, all caps, and also keep line breaks, or place the text on a single line. Choose carefully, because there’s no possibility to undo, unless you want to start from scratch.

All in all, WhiteSpace is a lightweight application fitted with many operations you find in IDE programs, but not all are fitted with text cleanup functions. Although there’s no possibility to load or save any kind of files, the application is pretty practical, with a simple, yet intuitive design, and multiple functions to make text easier to read, and specific parts quick to identify.
