WiFi Share

WiFi Share is a simple, yet effective utility that makes it possible to share your computer’s Internet connection with other devices effortlessly.
The main window is very simple and presents to you with two buttons that allow you to start or stop the created WiFi hotspot. This way, you have the possibility to pay for one Internet connection and share it across all your devices or family members.
Although it does not come with advanced features and with a more modern interface, the application enables you to instantly share your Internet with your friends and peers over Wi-Fi.
It manages to do so by using Windows’ Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) feature, which routes TCP / IP packets from a small LAN to the Internet and it makes use of DHCP and network address translation (NAT).
Therefore, on the host computer the shared connection is made available to others by enabling ICS navigation from the Windows’ Network Connection option. Thus, the utility does require at least two network connections.
The Option window of the utility allows you to manually configure the WiFi connection by specifying the name and the password for the current connection.
After that, you are required to navigate to Network Sharing Center, access the ‘Change adapter settings’ option and go to the Sharing tab from the Properties window. Then you can allow other users to connect to your computer’s Internet connection by choosing the created network.
To sum things up, WiFi Share is a reliable tool worth having when you need to turn your PC into a Wi-Fi hotspot by manually configuring your network adapter to allow sharing.
