WildMidi Description
WildMidi is a lightweight library that you can use to process MIDI files into audio that can then be played by applications.
Developed a while back, WildMidi was an experiment with the intent to test MIDI files and observe if they can be played with less overhead using the same samples those of an existing piece of software.
The library makes use of the Gravis Ultrasound patch files in order to convert MIDI files into audio that can be passed to the calling software which processes it. The player is created so that WildMidi can be easily included into applications that want or need MIDI playback.
All-in-all, WildMidi can be used to mix multiple files into one. Moreover, WildMidi comes with support for RIFF MIDI and MIDI format 0 and 1. It also features thread safe, WAV output, linear and gauss re-sampling, final output reverb engine and Timidity.cfg compatibility.
