Winamp Control Plugin

As most of the users and fans of Winamp know, their favorite music player can be extended through plugins and these add-ons can bring quite a lot if useful functions and enhancements to the sound of the music tracks.
For those who are interested in a simpler way of managing the main playback commands of the application without having to go to the main window every time, Winamp Control Plugin can be the right choice.
This particular add-on brings all the basic controls in the taskbar, so any user can pause, stop, move to the previous or next song and adjust the players volume. The song duration is displayed and the title of the currently loaded track as well as the performing artist will be shown also.
The installation procedure is pretty straightforward, but there are some conditions that have to be met in order to have Winamp Control Plugin function properly. The most important one is to have installed one of the supported players and these are Winamp (versions 2 and 3), Apollo and Quintessential Player (also known as QCD).
Those who want to use this plugin with Winamp 3.x should be aware that it is necessary to have onto the PC the dedicated plugin manager. On QCD version 3 there is a different type of requirement, namely the actual DLL file (QCDtlb.dll) has to be copied manually into the Plugins folder from the SupportPlayers directory where it is automatically installed.
There are two skins with which Winamp Control Plugin comes, BlueXP and SilverXP, but is it quite easy to create custom ones as longs as the image type and dimension specifications are preserved.
