WinArc Description

WinArc is an application that enables you to create self-extracting executable files. It can especially be used by web developers.
The user interface of the program is plain and simple. You can import files or a directory by using the file browser (the "drag and drop" function is unsupported).
In the list you can view the name, size and path for each file. Plus, you can clear the list.
So, you can select the output directory and name (by specifying the EXE format as well), and initiate the process.
Once the job is completed, a window pops up notifying you if it was a success or a failure.
When you access the self-extracting executable file, you simply have to select the output destination and optionally set WinArc to overwrite files without prompting. Press the "Extract" button and you're good to go. A brief step-by-step guide is displayed in the "Help" window.
The program takes up a very low amount of system CPU and memory. There is no help file at your disposal but that's because WinArc is extremely easy to use, by both rookies and experienced individuals. The tool didn't freeze, crash or pop up any errors during our tests.
No leftover items are left after uninstallation. We strongly recommend WinArc if you are looking for a straightforward program when it comes to building self-extracting executable files.
