Windows XP SP1 Home Startup Disk Description
Windows XP SP1 Home Startup Disk is a reliable and efficient software solution aimed to provide you with the ability of creating a set of bootable discs for your Windows XP operating system, regardless of the fact that you may or may not have a bootable CD-ROM.
During the rapid installation operation, a series of very important files are extracted from the downloaded package, namely the setup Windows XP boot disks, and placed in the ‘System32’ directory of your computer.
The utility will then display a command line window, informing you of the fact that you need to have six high-density blank discs available, which you will need to use throughout the operation, when prompted to insert them.
In addition, the window of the tool requires you to input the floppy drive letter you want to copy the images to, which is regularly ‘A’. Next, you will be prompted to begin inserting the disks, one after the other, whenever you are instructed to, following the steps accordingly, until all six are completed.
Since you will be working with several disks simultaneously, you need to make sure you keep them in the proper order, as assigned by Windows XP SP1 Home Startup Disk, since this will be the same order they will need to be inserted, when reinstalling Windows XP.
When done, you can input the first disk into your floppy drive and restart your computer. You need to make sure to instruct the system to boot from the disk, which may however require a modification to be made to the PC’s BIOS.
