WinFontsView

WinFontsView is a very light Windows utility that allows you to view the installed fonts with minimum effort.
Once installed and launched, the application automatically detects the installed items and shows them in a plain and simple list, along with multiple samples to see the fonts at various sizes.
There are no complicated configuration settings, but just two different options to choose the character set and the sample text. Of course, you can enable the common font styles that include bold, italic and underline.
WinFontsView can also generate HTML reports using either one or multiple items, a feature that comes in handy if you're trying to keep a plain list of your installed fonts.
As you can see, this is quite a basic piece of software, so it's very unlikely to get lost in its GUI. Most of the options are pretty easy to use and require just basic computer skills, but truth is that the app lacks several essential tools.
For example, you cannot remove the installed fonts and you can't change the fonts folder. What's more, there's no search box, so users looking for a specific font have no other option than to use the scroll bar on the right.
To sum up all of the above, WinFontsView is a handy piece of software, but it clearly needs plenty of improvements in the next versions. It's indeed a very fast and simple way to see the installed fonts, but the feature package isn't impressive at all, at least not if you're an average computer user.
