WinQuickIP Description
WinQuickIP is a simple-to-use application that enables you to seamlessly change IP addresses by creating multiple profiles with different settings. It doesn't include complicated features, so it doesn't need extensive experience with networking utilities.
Installer, requirements, and interface
The setup procedure is a fast task that shouldn't impose any difficulties, since there are no special options or third-party offers integrated with the installer. However, you must have .NET Framework installed, otherwise the tool won't work properly.
The interface of WinQuickIP is user-friendly. It's represented by a single window with a neatly structured layout, where you can get started by picking the preferred network adapter from a drop-down menu.
Manage multiple network profiles
You can either enable DHCP or switch to static mode to enter properties when it comes to the IP address, netmask and gateway, along with the primary and alternate DNS servers. After saving settings, you can pick a name for the profile before displaying it in the list.
It's possible to put together as many profiles as you want, edit their properties, as well as remove their entries from the list. A profile can be made active with the click of a button. There are no other notable options provided by this app. For example, it doesn't have a feature for testing IP settings before switching to a profile.
Evaluation and conclusion
The software application didn't put a strain on the computer's performance in our testing, since it needed a low amount of CPU and RAM to work properly. It remained stable throughout its runtime, without hanging, crashing or prompting errors.
Too bad that it hasn't received updates for a long time. Nevertheless, WinQuickIP facilitates a simple and straightforward method for creating and managing multiple profiles with different IP configurations for establishing Internet connections. Plus, it's freeware.
