Since online activities occupy most of the time spent in front of the PC, various methods of interaction, and file sharing got developed over the years. Servers are now a mandatory component in online communication and services. As such, wodSSHServer comes with the necessary means to add SSH2 server capabilities to programs under development.
This is not a stand-alone product, but rather a set of ActiveX components which include modern SSH2, SFTP, as well as old Telnet server protocols. The SSH2/SFTP protocol is known for its strong encryption of data, and is commonly used.
The package needs to be integrated in the project form and then the server can be started, but not before pairs of keys for the server are created, and this can be done through internal commands, or importing from existing SSH servers.
In case the project includes communication systems the server helps in providing a method for users to initiate chat sessions. Other user-side operations include port forwarding for programs, starting specific programs, and transferring data via the internally provided SFTP server.
Data is always encrypted for safety reasons. It supports ciphers like AES, TripleDES, and Blowfish, as well as checksum verifiers such as MD5 and SHA1.
The default configuration doesn’t support any login attempts, but there are built-in components to allow the creation, and management of user accounts. This is goes hand-in-hand with the certificate generator.
