World Clock Description
In order to be able to synchronize with each other, time zones got created and spread across the globe according to Sun movement. This can create great discrepancies in hours, and there’s a high chance the country you want to visit next is in a different time zone than yours. To check it out, World Clock helps instantly reveal time anywhere on the globe.
Advantages of a portable app
On the bright side of things, there’s no setup involved, meaning you can run the application as soon as download is done. What’s more, this enables you to carry it around on a thumb drive to check time regardless of the computer you’re using. Registries are not modified, so neither is the target PC’s stability.
When launched, a compact window shows up showing general time information based on your system time. Internet connection is not required, because the application performs all calculus based on system time. The initial display shows your time zone, GMT date, time, as well as local date and time.
Explore time zones, and edit country database
A different section can be used to instantly view these details for any other country. A drop-down menu is used for selection, while values like time zone, date, time, capital, and even country call ID are shown instantly. Sadly, you can’t send values to clipboard to insert them in a conversation, or document.
The application also provides access to its database of countries and time zones. Organized in a neat layout, all countries can be analyzed by country code, name, capital, GMT, and IDD. On the bright side, you’re free to modify any existing values as you see fit, if you consider they’re outdated. It’s also possible to add custom entries in the table, with time calculated automatically according to the specified GMT value.
In conclusion
Bottom line is that knowing your time, especially when on the move is an important perk. World Clock provides the flexibility you need, since no installation is required, with calculus automatically performed based on system time so you can also use it without an active Internet connection.
