World Time Zones Description
World Time Zones is a simple-to-use software application designed to help you quickly calculate the difference between two countries when it comes to time zones. It doesn't bundle complex options or configuration parameters, making it suitable for all types of users.
Simple setup and interface
The setup procedure is standard and takes little time to finish. Once it's over, the app gets launched in a plain-looking interface with a clear-cut structure that shows all options provided by World Time Zones, along with an image of the world map.
View time and observe daylight saving time
All you have to do is pick your current location and destination, and the program will automatically display the times in addition to the offset.
Plus, you can specify a custom time by inputting the values or clicking two arrow buttons. World Time Zones can be asked to observe the daylight saving time for any of the two locations, or both of them. Apart from the fact that you can reset the configuration to start everything from scratch, there are no other notable options available.
Evaluation and conclusion
We haven't come across any difficulties in our tests, thanks to the fact that World Time Zones didn't freeze, crash or display error messages. It displayed times instantly and had minimal impact on the overall performance of the computer, using low CPU and RAM.
On the other hand, it doesn't integrate more advanced features, like giving you the possibility to view time zones for more than two locations at a time. Its interface needs some improvements in the visual department as well. We must also keep in mind that the program hasn't been updated for a long time.
All in all, World Time Zones may not be resourceful in its skillset, but it offers a simple method to viewing time zones in two different geographical settings at one, and it's free.
