WS_FTP Password Recoverer

WS_FTP is a FTP client that allows you to transfer files from one host to another using the Internet or other TCP-based networks. In order to do so, it creates files that contain, amongst other data, the password needed to establish a connection between hosts.
If you happen to forget that password, you can use WS_FTP Password Recoverer to restore it. The application allows you to scan certain WS_FTP-specific files and extract the password stored in them. This can help you recover the certain passwords, thus enabling you to restore several “lost” connections with other hosts.
All you have to do is to point the application to the WS_FTP.ini file, that contains your password, and the program will restore and instantly display it to you. Because most versions of WS_FTP generate this file, you can use it anytime, on both old and new types of WS_FTP files, as the file’s format and layout remains the same throughout almost any version of WS_FTP.
Although the application works with WS_FTP files, it foes not require you to install the program on your computer, as it is a standalone tool.
The only drawback is that some versions of WS_FTP save the WS_FTP.ini file in the Windows applicationdata folder, which can be confusing for those used to find that file in the application’s main folder. You have to be cautious when you search the WS_FTP.ini file, as you might not find it in the same place you are used to after you updated the WS_FTP application. Once you discover the location of your WS_FTP.ini file, your password is as good as recovered.
WS_FTP Password Recoverer gives the possibility to restore certain host connections, by seamlessly recovering lost passwords used to encrypt and identify that connection.
NOTE: Newer WS_FTP versions no longer store their WS_FTP.ini in the application folder. Instead they store it in the windows applicationdata folder (.../ApplicationdataIpswitchWS_FTPSitesWS_FTP.ini).
