xCELLrecover is an Add-In that allows users to recover (un-protect) password protected workbooks and worksheets for Excel 2007, Excel 2010, and Excel 2013. xCELLrecover removes the protection vice returning the password and allows users to recover their work. If you have an Excel spreadsheet for which you have forgotten the password or had an employee depart, taking the password with them, this tool is for you.Beginning with Excel 2013 the workbook and worksheet default protection algorithm was enhanced rendering many of the macro techniques traditionally used to recover workbooks and worksheets useless. xCELLrecover CAN successfully recover protected Excel 2013 workbooks and worksheets.At this time, xCELLrecover does not recover Excel files that require a password to Open or Modify the ".xlsx" file.
