As all its users must know by now, Yahoo! Messenger comes with a dedicated feature that can help anyone read their conversation logs when they are signed in with the Yahoo username and password.

You won't see the emoticons, that's true, but it shouldn't be a major issue since it allows you to read the conversations on the fly and that is surely more important than viewing the smileys you sent or received.
There is, nonetheless, an important drawback and it is related to the looks of Yahoo Messenger Archive Reader. The main window's margins are painted in a deep blue, while the menu fonts are black, which means it's almost impossible to read them unless you get real close to the monitor and stare at the text.
In case you wish to save the message archives to a more common format that is recognizable on any computer, this utility offers you the possibility to choose between the Rich Text Format (RTF) and HTML.
Simply put, Yahoo Messenger Archive Reader is a fair product that would serve its purpose and nothing more. It is very easy to understand and use, but the interface may be a bit hindering and drive away from it many users.
