yNotes Description
yNotes is a tiny software utility which was built specifically to aid people in creating multiple sticky notes with thoughts and reminders, and making them visible on the desktop.
Surprise-free installation and clean interface
You are required to go through a pretty seamless and quick setup process, as it does not offer to download products that are not actually necessary for the program to fully work. In case you are interested in bypassing this process, you should know that a portable counterpart is available, called yNotes Portable.
The interface you come by maintains a pretty plain and simple appearance, as it only encompasses a menu bar, a pane in which to list all your notes and of course all the windows you create. It becomes quite clear that both beginners and highly experienced people can find their way around it without facing difficulties.
Method of use and available options
It is possible to create a large number of custom notes, along with a user-input title. They can be edited and deleted at any point, while it is also possible to move them to another location on the screen with just a click of the button.
The tool can also be hidden in the system tray with ease, so that you can render is non-obtrusive when needed. A list of all created notes is enclosed in the main window, while you can view recorded logs in a Notepad window.
Bottom line
To sum up, yNotes is a pretty efficient piece of software when it comes to creating sticky notes, without burdening the computer’s performance. The interface is intuitive, the response time is good and our tests did not reveal any kind of hangs, errors or bugs. Nonetheless, it lacks many options that other similar products enclose, such as import and export capabilities.
