yTimer Description
yTimer is a software program that provides users with a simple means of creating several countdown timers and pop up reminders, and view logs.
Seamless setup and simple-to-handle environment
The installation process is a piece of cake, as it does not offer you to add products that are not vital from the app to run properly, nor does it last very long. If you are interested in bypassing the installation process, you should know a portable edition is available for download, called yTimer Portable.
The layout you come across is quite simple and well-organized, as it only consists of a menu bar, several buttons, a few check boxes and a pane in which to display alarms. Although no Help contents are supported, all types of users can find their way around it, including those with little or no previous experience with computers.
Creating alarms and setting up different options
This tool enables you to create up to 40 alarms, using a specific time or a custom countdown timer. In addition to that, you should know it is possible to configure several options. For example, you can make a noise when the time is up, repeat the timer, run a selected file from the HDD and display the frame on top of any other launched window.
Created alarms are going to be displayed in the main window, along with state, time left and name of the event. These can be paused or stopped at any point, while you can also copy an entry or delete it with a single click of the button.
Conclusion
To sum up, yTimer is a pretty simple, yet handy piece of software when it comes to setting up alarms. The interface is friendly to all users, tasks are completed in a timely manner and our tests reveal that it runs without burdening the computer’s performance, popping up errors, freezing or hanging.
