AAClock Description

It’s mandatory to stay on track with your objectives and tasks, and this activity doesn’t really require complex methods, and can easily be accomplished by looking at the clock. You might not really find the taskbar clock practical, case in which third-party alternatives come in handy, which is also the case with AAClock.

Straightforward desktop clock

The application comes in a lightweight package, allowing you to carry it around as your personal clock, without affecting the stability of the computer you use it on, because registry entries are not modified during runtime. The package comes with a standalone clock, as well as an ActiveX component you can use in developing your own projects.
Truth be told, the application isn’t really made to impress, but only to deliver a straightforward approach on time. It simply shows the time in a 12 hour format, with indicators for hours, minutes, and seconds. Sadly, it doesn’t include a calendar, so you still need to rely on default tools, or other third-party components in this regard.

No alarm or customization options

The clock is shown in a pretty minimalistic window, with a custom background and a digital clock. Window title bar and menubar are also present, and there’s no possibility to toggle their visibility to make the clock blend in with your desktop a little better.
There are, however, several options at your disposal. You can choose to make the window stand on top of everything else, in case you really want to have the clock in plain sight. The window can be minimized, but not to the tray area. Sadly, there’s no built-in alarm to help remind you of upcoming events or tasks.

In conclusion

Taking everything into consideration, we can state that AAClock is heavily underprepared, even though designed to be a straightforward clock. The lack of customization options leaves you stuck with a seemingly heavy window, and it would have also used at least a simple alarm system.
