ABView

ABView is an efficient and user-friendly program developed to offer you the means of opening a wide array of media file formats, including movies, pictures and songs, all with a single piece of software.
The utility features support for an extensive set of formats, not only video (MPEG, MOV, AVI, ASF, WMV, IVF and others), animations (GIF, CEL, FLI, FLC) or images (KPEG, BMP, TIFF, PNG, DIB, JPG, PCX, and more).
It also supports opening icons, vector graphics, resource files, MIDI items, audio (MP3, OGG, WAV, SND, MOV, WMA, WAX, VOC, AIFC), truetype fonts, Flash videos and even pallette files.
Following the installation, you can access the application by means of the Windows context menu, when right-clicking on one of the supported format files. In the case of certain formats, specifically movies, the context menu will display a preview window.
In order to view the targeted file, you simply need to select the ‘Open With AbView’ option from the context menu, yet the full screen mode is only available for a handful of formats, namely MPEG, AVI, MOV, DAT and a few others.
ABView features a comprehensive set of customizable preferences, allowing you to adjust the configuration of the tool for each type of media: ‘Video’, ‘Pictures’, Audio’, ‘Resources’ or ‘File Icons’, by switching from one tab to another.
In the case of the ‘Video’ section, the utility enables you to set the preview window’s size or apply a dimension restriction. At the same time, you can set the speed of playback in the case of animations and check the assigned box if you wish to render them on loop.
As for ‘Pictures’, you can also set the preview window dimensions being able to show the parameters of the played file. In the ‘Audio’ tab, you can choose to ‘Show ID3 TAGs’ or the ‘File Header Information’.System requirementsDirectX 7.0 or later
