AExplorer Description
AExplorer is a simplistic file manager especially designed to read and display the content stored on your Android phone, providing a user-friendly working environment for exploring the device's file system.
Dual-pane interface and ease of use
The application comes with some features that are specific to programs in this category, such as the dual-pane interface. Thanks to the GUI layout, you can view phone directories and the contents of a locally stored folder side by side, which can prove useful if you want to compare contained files.
One major advantage of the application is that it does not require any configuration in order to access the phone's file system. You simply have to connect the Android device to your computer via USB and the phone is automatically recognized, provided you have Java and JDK installed on your PC.
Satisfactory file management functionality
AExplorer does not provide as many options as other file managers, but it does allow you to delete a file from the computer or the phone, rename files or open them as text using the integrated viewer. Furthermore, it can display the package structure of any file stored on your phone.
In addition to this, you can use it to easily perform file transfers between your PC and the handset. Right-clicking on a file reveals a menu that enables you to copy a file from the device to the computer or viceversa. The file list is not always updated automatically, so you might have to press the 'refresh' button to view newly transferred files.
You can use AExplorer to take screenshots of the phone's main screen, which are saved in the application's directory in PNG format.
A reliable Android development and file management tool
AExplorer can prove to be a great tool for both Android developers and regular phone users, providing them with a convenient method to explore the phone content and perform file transfers.
