AlarmClock Gadget

AlarmClock Gadget is a Windows gadget with a name that pretty much sums up its functionality - it allows you to set up an alarm.
This type of tool can come in handy if you cannot find the usual device that you use to schedule an alarm for the next day.
The interface of the gadget is a bit outdated but simple to navigate through. The alarm can be set at a user-defined time or it can go off according to a countdown timer.
The app also lets you enable repeat mode (similar to the well-known "snooze" function) that can be specified at a time given by the user.
But you can also select the alarm type between beep and a sound file from your computer (e.g. MID, MP3, WAV, WMA), as well as set the playing time in seconds. Furthermore, you can run a test.
AlarmClock Gadget can be easily moved anywhere on the desktop by using the "drag and drop" method, as well as set to stay on top of other applications. Additionally, you can adjust the opacity level between 20% and 100%.
The simplistic gadget uses a low amount of CPU and system memory. It did not freeze, crash or pop up error dialogs throughout our testing. Unfortunately, you cannot schedule multiple alarms or set up an alarm past 24 hours. However, we must keep in mind the fact that AlarmClock Gadget has not been updated for some time.
