This is the software for the Palm device, which does algebraic calculations! There are many softwares for numerical calculations, calculators etc. But this software does calculations algebraically! ----> Calculation: If you have a complicated expression, e.g. (a-b)^2-(a-b*(a+b)+a*b it simplifies to -A*B+2*B^2 It also calculates e.g. 3*4*c*d/(17*c+7*c) Result: D/2 You can enter any expression and the software will try to find a simpler form. "Simple" means not always shorter! But the parantheses are removed as far as possible and similar parts are simlified, e.g. a*b*c+d+a*b*c gives the result 2*A*B*C+D. ----> Differentiation: This software calculates differentiation of an algebraic expression. If you have an expression with the variable x and you want to have the differentiation dy/dx, the software will calculate IT. E.g. sin(a*cos(x)) gives the result -COS(A*COS(X))*A*SIN(X). The software can differentiate very complicated expressions. The only limitation is the size of the output string. ---->Factorizing: This software can factorize the result after the calculation. E.g. a^3+b^3 is factorized to (a+b)*(a^2-a*b+b^2). ----> Integer Arithmetic: Enter 1/3+1/7 and the result will be 10/21. Or (3/4)*(2/5) and the result is 3/10. These are simple examples; you can enter very complicated expressions. ---->Some trigonometric calculations: Enter sin(a+b) and you will get cos(a)*sin(b)+cos(b)*sin(a). ---->This software is interesting for students, engineers, scientists etc. Make the best use of it yourself!
