AnalyticMath Description
AnalyticMath is an open-source Windows application whose purpose is to help you create and visualize mathematical expressions.
User interface
The GUI is not particularly intuitive so you may need some extra time in order to get used to working with it. There’s also support for a help manual embedded in the main window that offers a quick start guide about the program’s features.
Developing equations
AnalyticMath gives you the freedom to manually enter the target mathematical expression directly in the primary panel. In addition, you are allowed to cut, copy, paste or delete the selected numbers, and undo or redo your actions.
The tool helps you evaluate the current expression, plot data, include the selected numbers inside of a bracket, as well as define a list with automatic calculations.
You are given the possibility to insert various mathematical symbols by simply clicking on the target element embedded in one of the three tables (with primary, Greek and miscellaneous symbols).
Editing and exporting features
AnalyticMath offers you the possibility to alter the size and color of the text, draw freehand designs using a colorful pencil, erase the unwanted parts from the drawing, as well as perform search and replace tasks. You may print or save a copy of the equation and plot to BMP or JPG file format.
Plotting configuration settings and other options
The application lets you show or hide the plot title, opt for a thick or thin plot line width, change the horizontal and vertical plotting variable, as well as set the plot print size. You can plot up to eight unknown variables, visualize functions and dependencies, and work with fractions, square roots, subscripts, and superscripts.
Bottom line
All things considered, AnalyticMath comes with several handy features for helping you develop and plot different types of mathematical expressions. On the downside, it hasn’t been updated for a long time, so it may cause compatibility issues on newer operating systems.
