Organizing different resource libraries, whether they’re audio files, pictures, or documents can easily be done through File Explorer. Sure enough, this can be a lengthy process, but there are tons of dedicated applications which aim to make sorting a lot faster, and easier. One suitable example is Audio Sample Manager, and needless to say it’s dedicated to audio files.

Lightweight, and easy to use

Before you can even install the application, let alone run it and enjoy all it has to offer, you need to make sure that .NET Framework is installed on your computer. Luckily, modern Windows iterations come with it as a default feature, so there’s a high chance it’s already there.
The workspace put at your disposal is a combination between a two-pane explorer, and a media player. This is mostly because one of the two panels represent the source, where you can easily browse through drives and folders, while the second panel is used to simply select a folder you want to copy, or move audio files to.

Navigation, and file operations

The center area is fitted with a list of files contained in the selected source folder, and a player. Unfortunately, the list isn’t sorted out to only leave supported audio files visible, and there’s no possibility to configure filters in this regard either, On the other hand, there is a built-in search function to quickly locate audio files of interest.
Playback starts as soon as you select a file under formats like WAV, MP3, MID, AIFF, WMA, or M4A. The waveform is shown, but there are no edit options. File operations allow you to easily rename any item, including folders, select one or more files, and either copy, or move them to the destination.

All things considered, we come to the conclusion that Audio Sample Manager might not really be what you expected, but it provides a lightweight, fast method of copying, or moving different audio files around. This is especially handy for managing audio resources used in mixing, or simply organizing your music collection.
