Audio Tuner Description

Audio Tuner is a nifty doctor for musical instruments that are out of tune. By playing the instrument into the computer’s microphone, it can diagnose it and offer you tips on how to proceed.
Clearly a software designed for musicians, Audio Tuner is able to work with all sorts of instruments, from guitars, violins, pianos, mandolins to cellos, charangos, violas, banjos and ukuleles.
It sports a simple design, remaining intuitive and easy to use, being created to meet the requirements of all users, regardless of their degree of IT knowledge.
The principle it works upon is the following: in order to detect if your instrument is in tune, it sniffs the audio stream captured by your microphone; thus, it is recommended to bring the device as closer as you can to the computer’s microphone if you care for the best results.
The following step is to select the type of instrument you’re playing, then the note, after which you can start playing it. Simply monitor the peak that’s being displayed on the spectrum, indicating your instrument’s frequency and compare it to the vertical green line.
You will know that the note is too low if the peak is placed to the left of the green line or that it’s too high if it’s situated to the right of the line. Adjusting the instrument until the note matches the peak will tune it in just the right amount.
Although the process seems complicated, the efforts you put into it are paid back once you calibrate the instrument to work at its best. With each new release, the support for instruments grows, which is just outstanding, considering its already impressive compatibility.
