Auto Ping Description

Auto Ping is a free ping utility that allows you to monitor a configured host and send pings at user-defined intervals.
Additionally, the program has been designed to provide a wide array of information concerning the selected hosts, so the main window is not only a way to provide access to all tools of the app, but also the one used to show the results.
In this regard, users are provided with details such as timestamp, errors, RTT, data size and IP address, as well as with a chart that helps them track the ping session.
Setting up a new host to monitor is as easy as right-clicking in the main window, with Auto Ping prompting you to provide host name and configure watch period, data size, timeout and Time to Live.
What’s more, the application comprises a dedicated tool to send emails once an error occurs, so you may want to have a look in the options screen as well to configure email settings.
While Auto Ping works flawlessly on all Windows versions, it’s very important to note that it requires administrator privileges on Windows 7. The program asks users to choose the network adapter to work with, so administrator access is needed to display the available network connections.
Overall, Auto Ping is a handy piece of software that helps you easily keep an eye on a configured host. It’s fast and stable and, what’s more, it doesn’t hamper system performance at all, despite the fact that it’s supposed to send pings at regular intervals.
