AutoCAD Drawing Viewer

With the help of AutoCAD Drawing Viewer you can view AutoCAD drawings without having to install the computer-aided design suite. It supports all AutoCAD file versions to date, including DWG, DWF and DXF, and comprises a few useful features.

Find and open CAD files

The interface is made from a common window where you can use the Explorer-based view to navigate directories and check out drawings in a small panel.
Double-clicking this area switches the content to fullscreen mode and allows you to zoom, pan, set layers, change the background color, rotate the drawing, and print it.

Have files converted to images or PDF

Plus, you can convert the file type to DWG, DWF or DXF and select the release version, or export it to PDF or image format. Batch conversion is supported, and accessible from the main frame, so you can rapidly convert multiple files at the same time.
In the primary panel you can check out the database information for the selected drawing, use a search and replace function, pick the data type (block attributes, singe-line or multi-line text, layers), as well as switch to a different UI language.

Good but far from being a pro

AutoCAD Drawing Viewer is light on the system resources, but it has a poor response time and hogs for a while when performing conversion tasks. Otherwise, no error dialogs have been shown in our tests, and the tool did not hang or crash. The interface could use some work, since it looks cluttered.
All in all, thanks to AutoCAD Drawing Viewer, users don't have to install AutoCAD or similar, complex products just to view drawings. It makes it a suitable application for analysis of important projects, with the possibility to have them exported or printed out on a sheet of paper.
