Simple setup and plain interface

After a swift and uncomplicated setup operation, you are greeted by an outdated interface made from a rudimentary window which makes Batch Runner seem like an unfinished project. However, it's easy to navigate.

Set up multiple apps to launch on countdown

You can use a file browser to indicate the path of an executable, batch or command file, enter a display name, specify the repeat value and type (days, weeks, months, years, hours, minutes, seconds), as well as ask Batch Runner to keep the entry alive. It's possible to add as many programs as you want to the list for automatic execution.

Start the script and examine log details

The utility lets you save changes when exiting the app, start the script to put the plan into action and stop it anytime, as well as check out log details with the process' run and save information to file for closer inspection. There are no other noteworthy options provided by this piece of kit.

Evaluation and conclusion

No error dialogs were shown in our tests, and the program didn't hang or crash. As expected, it had minimal impact on the overall performance of the computer, since it needed low CPU and RAM to work properly.
On the other hand, the interface and features are rudimentary. But we must also take into account the fact that Batch Runner hasn't been updated for a long time. Otherwise, it serves its purpose and it's free to use.
