BigClock Description
BigClock is a small Windows application designed specifically for helping you place a digital clock on you screen and show the date as well.
The advantages of being portable
Since this is a portable program, it is important to mention that it doesn’t leave any traces in the Windows Registry.
You can copy it on any USB flash drive or other devices, and take it with you whenever you to need to check out the date and clock right from your screen on the breeze, without having to go through installation steps.
Simple looks
You are welcomed by a clean feature lineup that allows you to carry out most operations with minimal effort. Everything is kept as simple and clear as possible, so even less experienced users can learn to master the entire process in no time.
Configuration settings
BigClock places the current date and time (hours, minutes, and seconds) on your screen, and lets you move the primary panel to the desired screen area. By performing a right-click mouse operation on the main window, you can access the utility’s configuration settings.
The program gives you the possibility to set up alarms by specifying the time, setting the alarm color, revealing a custom text messages, running a user-defined program, as well as playing a preset sound notification.
What’s more, you can customize the text in terms of font, font style, size, and color, open the Date/Time configuration panel, and hide or display the clock and date from the screen.
On the downside, the tool doesn’t embed a button in the primary window for helping you add a custom audio file from your computer, so you need to manually store the desired WAV file in the same folder where the program is stored.
During our testing we have noticed that BigClock carries out a task very quickly and without errors. It doesn’t eat up a lot of CPU and memory, so the overall performance of the computer is not hampered.
Bottom line
All in all, BigClock offers a simple software solution for helping you check out the date and clock right from your screen.
