Blaze Video Converter MAX Description
Blaze Video Converter MAX is a simple-to-use program that allows you to turn video files of multiple formats (e.g. 3GP, ASF, FLV, AVI, MOV, WMV) into Flash Video files, 3GP, AVI, MPG, WMV and MOV. But it can also prepare items for iPod and PSP devices (MP4).
The tool comes with a plain and simple interface where you can add items to the file list by using either the file browser or "drag and drop" function. It is possible to create a queue and process multiple videos at the same time.
In the list you can find out the name and initial type of each file. Once the output destination and profile are established, you can proceed with the encoding procedure, if you do not mind the default settings.
Otherwise, you can make modifications to audio and video properties when it comes to the bit rate, size, sample rate, channel mode and codec. Unfortunately, you cannot create output profiles or restore settings to their initial values.
Furthermore, you can preview clips during the conversion operation and select the preview mode (fit to window, aspect ratio), as well as trim videos by marking the start and end time values. But you can also set the tool to overwrite existing files and to delete source files after conversion.
In addition, you can use the source folder for the output, rotate videos, include the image header on the output items, as well as remove an entry from the list or clear the entire file queue.
The video conversion program runs on a moderate amount of system resources and quickly finishes a task. It has a good response time and includes a help file. No error dialogs have been displayed during our tests and Blaze Video Converter MAX did not freeze or crash. However, the tool delivers a poor image and sound quality. On top of that, you cannot set Blaze Video Converter MAX to automatically turn off the computer after encoding. The interface is outdated.
