Blur Clock

Blur Clock is a feather-light piece of software that displays a plain and simple clock on the screen, giving you the possibility to keep track of time.
It gets automatically synchronized to the system clock and doesn't contain any options or customization properties. Due to its limited set of features, it can be used even by casual PC users with no previous experience in clock utilities.

Simple setup and requirements

Installing this program takes insignificant time and effort. However, you should download and install Microsoft's software framework unless you already have it. Newer Windows versions have .NET Framework by default, so there shouldn't be any problems in that regard.

View current time on the desktop

Once deployed, the application shows a small rectangle on the screen with a green background and red text. The clock is immediately synced to the system clock and shown accordingly. It displays the hours, minutes and seconds in 12-clock format (AM/PM). As expected from such as compact program, it requires little RAM and CPU to properly function.

Doesn't make room for customization

Unfortunately, this is where Blur Clock's functionality ends. There is no context menu available, and it's not even possible to move the window to another section of the screen using the mouse pointer (it's centered). The only way to hide it is by switching to the open window of another running application. Needless to say, it's not possible to change the text or background colors, nor the clock mode (e.g. 24-hour format), to name a couple of examples.
All in all, the feature limitations of Blur Clock make it look like a rudimentary application that never got passed alpha development stage. The user's hands are tied, and it's just better to stick to the system clock to easily keep track of time.
