Bootable Disc Maker Description
Bootable Disc Maker is a compact and portable application that allows you to create GameCube bootable ISO files in just a few clicks. It packs limited settings that can be configured even by less experienced users.
Since installation is not a prerequisite, you can just drop the executable file somewhere on the hard disk and click it to run. Otherwise, you can move Bootable Disc Maker to a USB flash disk or similar storage unit, in order to run it on any workstation with minimum effort.
What's more, the Windows registry does not get new entries, and leftover files are not kept on the hard disk after eliminating the tool.
The interface is made from a regular window with a plain layout, where you can write a new disc title and import files using the file browser, since the drag-and-drop feature is not supported.
It is possible to add or change the boot DOL, change the temporary directory, as well as alter the default output destination and file name. Bootable Disc Maker is also able to delete temporary files on task completion, as well as to expand the disc to maximum size.
The application takes a reasonable amount of time to carry out a task, while it uses low CPU and RAM. We have not come across any issues throughout our evaluation, since Bootable Disc Maker did not hang or crash.
