Cache Monitor II Description
Cache Monitor II is a feather-light and advanced application that gives you the possibility to monitor your Internet cache and keep track of any modifications. This way, you can discover web browsing activity, which comes in handy if your computer has been recently infected by unknown malware, for example.
No installation required
The entire program's packed in a single .exe file that you can copy to a preferred location on the disk or to a removable storage unit, in order to seamlessly run it on any PC without previous setup. It doesn't make any changes to your system registry, need DLLs to run, or create files on the disk without asking for permission. It remembers your settings on exit.
Plain and simple interface
When it comes to the interface, Cache Monitor II doesn't put emphasis on the graphical elements, preferring to focus on functionality instead. It automatically detects your Internet cache at startup, listing the entry number and URL of each item.
Analyze Internet cache and save information
You can get started by scanning the cache to get the latest content. The status bar shows the current size, total added and deleted AMT, number of entries, and cluster size of the entire cache, in addition to the total strays and their size. Double-clicking an entry opens the corresponding file in your web browser.
The utility enables you to save all information to plain text documents for comparing the web cache recorded at different times, remove deletions, load cache backup files as new listings or subsequent scans, exclude strays and cookies, as well as set the open command for the files.
Conclusion
To wrap it up, Cache Monitor II comes bundled with useful options for monitoring and examining Internet cache. It's free to use. CPU and RAM consumption was minimal in our tests.
