Calculator.net Description
School aims to teach you the basics of everything, including how to manually perform complex expressions in math and other scientific domains. Chances are you need results quickly, and the Windows calculator might not really be fitted with the appropriate tools. As such, Calculator.net comes as a reliable alternative, with various math, economic, and scientific components.
Intuitive interface and perks of portability
The application is good to go from the moment download is done, so it can also be stored on a USB flash drive to have your own personal calculator wherever you go. Functionality doesn’t affect the stability of the target PC, but you do need to make sure that the computer you use it on is fitted with .NET Framework.
The visual design is pretty intuitive, with the main window being equipped with necessary controls and some basic operations in plain sight, as well as the output section. If Office is installed, there’s the possibility to quickly access some of its components, such as Excel, Access, or Word at the press of a button.
Impressive variety of calculators
Basic operations stretch beyond sum and multiplication, with the possibility to use PI Euler’s number, calculate square root, cube and square values, factorials, and logarithms. You can also store values in the memory for more flexibility. However, all results need to be manually copied from the output panel.
However, there’s a lot more to work with than what’s shown in the main window. Found in dedicated menus, other calculators can be used for advanced math operations like algebra, trigonometry, volume and area, fuel consumption, economy calculus for interest, NPV, or monthly payments, physics calculator, and a fully-fledged unit converter with various dimensions and units to choose from.
A few last words
To sum it up, Calculator.net manages to live up to expectations, coming with an impressive variety of components and areas of expertise. Each calculator function opens up in its own window for easy management, while the intuitive design makes it suitable for beginners and experienced individuals alike.
