Calendar Description

The calendar is a thing that we come across on a daily basis and many, if not every single thing we do is correlated to the calendar. Even your most important plans have everything to do with the calendar, thus its importance in every day’s scheme.
This particular piece of software consists of an XLS spreadsheet to allow you pick the year of the calendar it displays. The default settings open up the first month of the year 2013. It does not read the actual date from your computer, it just goes with the year 2013.
In order to change the year, you can quickly and easily do that by using the specially created controls in the right of the main calendar form. The developer also provides a tutorial that helps you understand and learn the idea behind creating the calendar.
Although a few aspects must already be comprehended, such as font formatting, cell management or styles, the guiding lesson presented on the product’s homepage takes you through each and every step of the design.
Based on this XLS file that you can effortlessly access and edit in Microsoft’s Excel Office component, you can build a calendar to better suit your needs. Of course, you can also open the file in any other Excel alternative, as long as it supports the format and the included macros.
The standalone XLS file is pretty basic and it definitely serves its purpose right when thought of as just an example for the aforementioned tutorial. Other than that, if you are looking for a template that you can rapidly use for the printing of a calendar, then this one is pretty basic and limited.
For starters, you can only change the year and you can only do that in the first month of the year. If you find yourself in November, for instance, you can only modify the year by going to January first. Moreover, changing a color in the template does not reflect in all the other areas, thus a proper theme color cannot be effortlessly performed.
One more fact that lacks is the option to set the first day of the week to be Sunday or Monday, as the only one here is Sunday. If we are to go further the investigational route, we may also find other deficiencies, but the whole point of this application is not to provide a fully-fledged calendar template.
As long as you use this calendar XLS file as just an example for the tutorial posted on its website, then you are surely on the right track. Furthermore, if you find it comprehensive enough for your calendar printing needs, you are also in for a treat. Other than these specific cases, you can check out the template gallery within your Excel program in order to find the one for you.
