Camtasia Player

Camtasia Player is a very simple video player that provides no configuration options and is able to play only a single format.
As a result, Camtasia Player boasts a minimal interface that helps it serve the purpose of opening AVI files on the go. The main window displays the video control buttons exclusively, such as play, pause, stop, forward and rewind, as well as a simple volume control slider.
Since it's only capable of playing AVI files, Camtasia Player has no configuration screen, which means that what you see is what you get and nothing can be changed after launching the app.
Additionally, Camtasia Player supports a full screen mode to watch the AVI files in full screen, but also a “Repeat” function to re-play the same clip several times automatically.
As you can see, the app is pretty basic and that's also the reason why it doesn't feature a help file, meaning that beginners should have absolutely no problem when trying to figure out how to use it.
In fact, opening an AVI file using the built-in “Open” tool is the only thing to do when launching Camtasia Player, so there's no chance to get lost in the interface.
Obviously, it runs on very low hardware resources and works flawlessly on all Windows versions, of course without the need for administrator privileges on Windows 7.
Overall, Camtasia Player is a very basic video player that does just one thing: it plays AVI files and nothing more. Users may be disappointed with such a limited functionality, especially since the market is already full of comprehensive tools capable of handling all video formats.
