ClearInfo

ClearInfo is a lightweight Windows application designed to provide information about the system, including CPU usage, uptime and Windows version.
The application shows all details right on the desktop, so you have nothing else to do than to configure the information modules and decide the data to be displayed.
ClearInfo automatically scans the system and shows details such as CPU usage and class, Windows version, memory and memory load percentage, virtual memory, display, uptime, connection, username and the song you're listening to in Winamp.
Additionally, the program also displays the common Winamp icons to control the playback regardless of the version of this popular audio player.
By default, ClearInfo comes with a fully transparent interface, but you can customize the appearance options from the settings screen where you can also find configurable parameters regarding font size, color and family, alpha transparency level and skin.
Last but not least, you're allowed to set up the modules you wish to use, which is actually the information that should be displayed on the desktop by ClearInfo.
Just as expected, ClearInfo is not at all a resource hog and it works just fine on all Windows versions, but administrator privileges are required to launch it on Windows 7.
All in all, this is one of the handy products that fit nicely almost any desktop out there, while providing a reasonable amount of information and configuration options.
