ClearTempFiles serves to investigate your computer in order to identify temporary registry entries that you can delete and gain the space they are pointlessly occupying.

Simplicity and ease of use

ClearTempFiles adopts an approach that benefits any computer use by making itself available inside a package that does not need installation. However, it does create a few registry entries during its runtime that can be erased through the Configuration window of the program once you’re done with the cleanup process.
Secondly, it has an extremely short learning curve, targeting all user categories regardless of the level of tech knowhow. It relies on a very simple interface, where the detected temporary files are listed as soon as the scan process is completed.

Scan times and efficiency

As soon as you launch ClearTempFiles, it automatically starts to analyze the registry for temporary files that are invalid or obsolete. Depending on the amount of data found by the program, the scan process has a variable duration, however, within reasonable limits.
Following the completion of this operation, the application provides an option to delete all of the temporary files at the same time. Moreover, if you want the removal process to begin without consent, this can be done from the Configuration dialog by enabling the Automatic Mode.

Aspects that need improvement

ClearTempFiles falls short of an option to back up the registry before it moves on to the cleaning operation; in case something goes wrong, there’s no way to revert the modifications, unless you perform a copy of the registry by hand.
Also, the program does not feature the possibility to select the items to be deleted and instead, it erases all of them by default, which is not always a desirable course of action.
