Client viewer is a small software application whose purpose is to help you get weather information from the local area network or an Internet server.

Portable running mode

Portability makes Client viewer the perfect candidate for being stored on USB flash drives and carried with you all the time. There’s no installation included in the process, as you may simply open the executable file in order to gain access to the program’s features.

Interactive GUI

Client viewer retrieves and reveals weather data with the aid of several colorful indicators and graphs. You can check out at-a-glance details about the current temperature, heat index, indoor temperature, rain rate, outdoor humidity, wind direction, outdoor dew point, and cloud base.

Configuration settings

Client viewer lets you set up the unit of measurement for the temperature, wind speed, barometer, and rainfall, change the colors for various elements (e.g. temperature line, background color, humidity line), and set the gauge and graph ranges.
What’s more, you can configure the IP/server address and port number from where the app gets the weather information, import a plain text file from where the tool retrieves the location, and run the utility at Windows startup. Additionally, you may tweak up to five different servers to retrieve weather data.

Extra tools to play with

Aside from its weather reporting features, Client viewer gives you the possibility to work with an image viewer for importing photos from your computer, view graphs with details about the gust speed and rainfall, and browse on the Internet. All of the aforementioned utilities are pretty basic and plain.

Bottom line

All in all, Client viewer helps you monitor weather data using all sorts of colorful indicators, while allowing you to customize the colors of the interface. It hasn’t benefited from an update from a long time, so you can deploy it especially on older operating systems.
