ClipBoard Cleaner is a feather-light and straightforward tool designed to empty your Clipboard after you finish working on your computer, in order to prevent other people with access to your PC from viewing and copying your passwords or other kind of important information.
It provides a basic level of privacy and doesn't contain configuration settings, making it accessible even to users inexperienced with security software.

Old, yet functional program

Before proceeding any further, you should know that ClipBoard Cleaner hasn't received updates for a long time, which is hinted by the fullscreen installer with a solid background color.

Easily clear Clipboard contents

After setup, the application creates three files in the installed directory: the launcher and uninstaller, along with a DLL. There's also a desktop shortcut automatically created, linking you to the launcher.
Double-clicking it displays a small window that asks if you want to empty your Clipboard. Once you've confirmed the action, events are instantly put in motion. Otherwise, you can cancel the task if you change your mind. You can try pasting Clipboard contents to verify this.

Evaluation and conclusion

It didn't put a strain on the computer's performance in our tests, thanks to the fact that it required a low amount of CPU and RAM to work properly. No error dialogs popped up and it didn't hang or crash. However, it doesn't work on 64-bit Windows, so you must have a 32-bit operating system to be able to launch the program, although it gets installed without any issues.
Overall, ClipBoard Cleaner has basic functions for clearing the Clipboard. It's not as feature-rich as other software products dedicated to maintaining your PC privacy, but it offers a simple and effective solution to deleting the Clipboard contents. Plus, it's freeware and suitable for older Windows editions, such as XP.
