Clipboard Rules

There are many clever and smart applications that you can use in order to create tasks on your computer. One of them is Clipboard Rules.
It's a unique and really neat application that allows you to create tasks and execute them using the clipboard. It's very intuitive, but it would have been nice if it had some additional features.

Compact and small graphical interface

The application takes almost no time to install and it sports a really clean and colorful graphical interface with many neat tools at hand. The interface is quite simple, it only has a toolbar with some icons and options that you can check out.
It doesn't have a settings menu and it lacks customization options for the interface. However, it does provide you with some tips and instructions on how to use the program.

Create rules easily

The program opens in the system tray, so you would need to retrieve it from there. Adding rules is quite simple, you need to type in the rule name but make sure that it's different for each rule that you create.
It's required that you type in the text that triggers the rule, it's case sensitive so make sure that you keep it simple. It's also recommended that you choose a special word for the command text, so that tasks wouldn’t be run unintentionally.

Assign tasks to rules

You can have the application run a program or a batch file, write a log file, open Windows Explorer or replace the clipboard text with another phrase. You simply need to browse your computer and assign the programs that you would like to be opened. It allows you to enable popup messages or desktop alerts.
The application only works if it's still active in the system tray. All in all, Clipboard Rules is a very neat program that you could use in order to create multiple rules on your computer and run tasks using only the clipboard.
